The theatre performance ‘Echoes’ is the story of the fragments of human civilization, the cruelty and violence of the 20th century and the uprooting and appropriation of historical memory that ignores the narration of sincere human stories in the face of the inane reality media. 'Echoes' is presented in the form of a 20th-century television show, using similar conditions of production with several cameras and several streamed video projectors. The show was hosted by two ‘grounded’ dancers (Katjuša Kovačič, Sabina Schwenner), two ‘airborne’ acrobat-dancers (Anže Kreč, Urška Štrukelj), and the connecting link between air and earth (Sarah Al Saleh). The show is about our reception of information and the impact of media on our perception of the world. The performance is in its structure an intermediate art piece with political statements, which are highly aesthetic for us to be able to emotionally experience and remember them. Beauty can never be rendered apolitical.
