A series of six short insights into the topics offered by the exhibition of late works by Andrzej Wróblewski in the Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana. Every weekend.

The first international exhibition of Andrzej Wróblewski (1927–1957) that is dedicated solely to his travels across Yugoslavia and his late work. It showcases more than 120 of his works from the period between 1955 and 1957. The concept of the exhibition also relies on the “waiting room mentality,” as Heiner Müller described it in the documenta IX catalogue, seen as typical of the onetime socialist Central and Eastern Europe experience.

Moderna galerija has prepared some online activities to provide access to our current exhibitions and a part of our permanent collection. We are also preparing a special program in collaboration with the other art institutions in the L’Internationale confederation and are actively involved in helping everyone in need of help these days.

The museum confederation L'Internationale has invited fourteen artists to join a conversation from their present working and living spaces, conditions and places. Their reflections suggest new perspectives on public/private space, solidarity and critique that are intrinsically connected with the present time. Presenting commissioned works by: Maja Smrekar, Paweł Żukowski, Guy Woueté, Siniša Labrović, Isidoro Valcárcel Medina, Babi Badalov.

Rihard Jakopič up Close exhibition presents rarely seen or touched artworks from the Moderna galerija storage and related conservation-restoration practices to the widest possible audience, including vulnerable groups such as the blind and partially sighted.

We’re home again, now truly isolated for the first time. We’re seeing our kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms with new eyes, and we’re fully aware of the smell of our apartments and houses for the first time, of their comforts and beauty or else the peeling plaster and drafty windows. Some dream interpreters say that when we dream about our homes we’re really dreaming about ourselves, as though our homes were as unique as we are. You are what your home is. But it’s not that simple.

Twenty-four of Mušič’s Dachau drawings recently discovered in Italy are to be presented at an exhibition included in the Moderna galerija permanent exhibition of 20th century art. The exhibition poses some fundamental questions: "How does art confront the point where absolutely everything can be taken away from us? Not simply as physical death, but as death while still alive. How to create art after the gas chambers?"

Retrospective exhibition of the Painter Do You Know Your Duty (V.S.S.D.) duo, active between 1985 and 1995, and Alen Ožbolt, who after the discontinuation of V.S.S.D. continued his own artistic journey. The exhibition offers a comprehensive insight into the production of this particular phenomenon of art in the late 1980s and early 1990s in our country.

The exhibition expresses unconditional support to the arts and culture, as well as to journalism, and set an example for freedom of opinion and human rights.
