MG+MSUM | Museum of Modern Art & Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova OPENED FOR PUBLIC

The Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova  will once again open their doors to all art-loving visitors on Saturday, 19 December 2020, after almost two months of lockdown. We kindly requested our visitors to follow all guidelines for the prevention of the spread of infections. The two museums will be open until at least 12 January 2021.

Open all days of the week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Mondays. We look forward to your visit and wish you a pleasant viewing of current exhibitions.

You are invited to view the exceptional exhibition of the Polish artist Andrzej Wróblewski, Waiting Room at the Museum of Modern Art, which thematically addresses us especially in this time of isolation. At the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova, don't miss the exhibition of comics as part of the Tinta Festival Lewis Trondheim and Drunk Bunnies. At the + MSUM we also invite you to the Jasmina Cibic, The Foundation of Endeavour, revealing the idea of politically motivated cultural gifts and their role in national and political structures in moments of European crisis in the twentieth century. Jaka Babnik, Time Leveling exhibition, which opened just before the museum closed, is also on display at the Draught.

We also invite you to view the permanent exhibitions of the Points in Time 1889–1991 and the 20th Century. Continuities and Ruptures at the Museum of Modern Art, and at the +MSUM Selection from the Collections of Moderna galerija, Arteast 2000+ and National Collections

Until the end of the month, the online exhibition Viral Self-Portraits, which we launched during the first wave of the pandemic, is still on view, and we still recommend viewing the video tours of the current exhibitions at the MG+MSUM.

We also invite you to both bookstores at the MG+MSUM, where we have prepared a selection of literature for demanding art readers, as well as some light hearted gifts.

Stay well!
