Big Paintings, Big Stories. Murals of Marij Preglj

The lecture will be dedicated to Preglj's "big paintings", which represent the best and the earliest examples of the Slovenian profane murals after the Second World War, and open up questions of finding a balance between intimate artistic research and the challenges of creating large representative commissions.
On Sunday, 25 February 2018 at 11 a.m. a guided tour by Katarina Mohar will take place on the Marij Pregelj (1913 – 1967): A Retrospective exhibition.
Katarina Mohar is a researcher at Art History Institute France Stele, ZRC SAZU and lecturer at Faculty of Arts University in Maribor.
