Robert Simonišek, PhD, receives the Rožanc Award for his book of essays Pejsaži – sanjati na soncu (Landscapes – Dreaming in the Sun)
Yesterday, 16 September 2021, the Rožanc Award ceremony was held in the Cankarjev dom Center. The award, named after the author, playwright and journalist Marjan Rožanc, went for the second time to Robert Simonišek, this time for his collection of essays Pejsaži – sanjati na soncu (Landscapes – Dreaming in the Sun). In his self-reflexive essays the author writes about loneliness, worldliness and provinciality, love, alienation, the virus, the challenges posed by boredom, dedicating quite a few passages also to his complex and personal views on art phenomena.
