Iztok Sitar is a regular and indispensable member of the domestic comics scene, well-known to the wider audiences as well. His wholepagers and comics strips were published in many domestic periodicals, while he also illustrated many youth and other publications. He’s written several theoretical works on comics, he regularly writes reviews for Pogledi magazine and he’s also written the comprehensive History of Slovenian Comics. His drawing is characterized by a heavy stroke of the brush, while his extensive opus, apart from the interest for teenage sexuality, often contains strong and direct political and social messages.
