The exhibition Andrzej Wróblewski: Waiting Room staged in Moderna galerija wins award in Poland!

Moderna galerija’s curator Marko Jenko and curators of the Foundation Andrzej Wróblewski Magdalena Ziółkowska and Wojciech Grzybała won the Polish Feliks Jasieński Award for their exhibition project realized – together with a catalogue that is still available – in Moderna galerija last year. The project was in part supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.

The Feliks Jasieński Award, named for the prominent Polish art collector Feliks “Manggha” Jasieński, whose collection constitutes the backbone of the Manggha Museum, initially a branch of the National Museum of Krakow, was founded by the National Museum of Krakow, The Archive of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the History Meeting House in Warsaw.

 

The members of this year’s jury for the annual prize were: philosopher and historian Krzysztof Pomian, PhD, diplomat Wojciech Kowalski, PhD, the Director of the National Museum in Krakow Andrzej Szczerski, PhD, the Vice President of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies Agnieszka Kluczewska-Wójcik, PhD, the Director of The Archive of the Polish Academy of Sciences Hanna Krajewska, PhD, the Director of the History Meeting House in Warsaw Piotr Jakubowski, the founder of the Foundation of the Sosenko Family Marek Sosenko, the Chairman of the Association of Historical Securities Documents Collectors Leszek Koziorowski, and collector Ryszard Kruk.
