19 May 2014 — 20 May 2014
#

You are kindly invited to attend a two-day seminar headed by renowned Marxist media-theorist and activist Franco Berardi - Bifo on Monday and Tuesday, May 19 and 20 in the conference room at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova.

The seminar is organized by the Maska Institute in collaboration with Moderna galerija on the occasion of the publication of Duša na delu, the Slovenian translation of Berardi's The Soul at Work, the first ever Berardi's title to be translated into Slovenian. It offers a historical overview and analysis of radical political thought from the 1960s through the end of the 20th century, with emphasis on the workers' alienation in postindustrial society, which the author examines through neo-Marxist, Deleuzian and Guattarian concepts, critical theory and semiotics.

During and after the seminar, the book (more on it here) will be available at the Depo Bookstore at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova.

More on the events organized in conjunction with Berardi's visit in Ljubljana here.

The seminar is in English and is free of charge. If you would like to attend, please contact Urška Comino at urska.comino@maska.si. The number of places is limited.
