Low-Budget Utopias

The exhibition presents works that come largely from the Moderna galerija’s Arteast 2000+ Collection. This is the eighth installation of the collection in which we develop the notion of the collection as a tool. In the present exhibition we explain the collection and the museum as tools that help to sustain a utopian consciousness.

COMMENTARY N0. 4: Vladan Jeremić & Rena Rädle: This is not a Fence

Opening view of the commentary of two artists from Belgrade, Vladan Jeremić and Rena Rädle. The wall drawing in the vestibule of the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova refers to the events in the autumn of 2015, when the Slovene government adopted the border policy of the Hungarian government of Victor Orban and built a barbed razor wire fence on the border with Croatia to stop migrants from war-torn regions from crossing into Slovenia.

WORKSHOP FOR ALL GENERATIONS

»World Around Us«

At the workshop we will paint »spatially« in front of the museum; inspired by the work of Vinko Tušek and some other art works from our collection we will construct sculptural paintings and moving sculptures by glueing, cutting and painting objects in space. We expect the platform in front of the museum in the end look like one huge spatial painting. The workshop will be animated by Anja Radović.
