At the exhibition A Cosmic Collective: Om Production and Its Second Coming at +MSUM, the Slovenian Cinematheque continues the eponymous screening cycle dedicated to the filmography of the enigmatic collective, which has created an extensive body of films over the years.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 8:00 PM, we therefore invite you to the Slovenian Cinematheque to watch short films from the Dislocated Third Eye series by OM production, and the documentary film Operation Mammoth by Jurij Meden.
The film screenings will be introduced by a lecture by Dr. Maja Krajnc, an assistant professor at the Chair of Film and Television Studies at the Department of Film and Television of the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television at the University of Ljubljana.
Operation Mammoth
Jurij Meden, 2006, 29'
»The fact is that there are films or entire filmographies hidden among us that film history does not write about and film current affairs are silent about. In the spring of 2004, during a random chat, I first heard about an unofficial and mysterious group called OM production, which allegedly produced as many as 50 films in Slovenia in the 1970s and early 1980s on 8 and 16 mm film, including one feature-length film. We can search in vain for a mention of OM production or at least the title of one of its films in the Filmography of Slovenian Feature Films, as well as in rare book and magazine records about semi-past history. What followed was an unforgettable night filled with films that – if they had found themselves at the right time and in the right place – would have added at least one chapter to P. Adams Sitney’s avant-garde film bible.« - Jurij Meden

The concept of the dislocated third eye understands the camera as an extension of the body and consciousness. An eye that sees where human vision fails. In unique, performative films, movement, light, and speed merge into a dizzying cinematic experience that pushes the boundaries of perception.
