On Friday, 6 February 2026, at 8:00 pm, the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova (+MSUM) will open the exhibition Cosmic Collective: OM Production and Its Second Coming. The opening will be accompanied by a performance of the OM produkcija film Tetraplan.
Performance of OM production’s Amanda Fior Daliso’s film Tetraplan (1981–85) with four 16 mm projectors and one Super 8 projector. A quadruple film projection, or more accurately, one film strip simultaneously looping through four projectors. Reeling off the first projector, the strip simultaneously reels onto the next and henceforth through all of the machines, spilling the image from one part of the screen over to the next, clockwise. “The flow of the visual material through the web of fields on the screen develops an interesting and regular crystal-shaped ornamental form. As we all know, a crystal, regardless of its size, always maintains a regular structure” (I.L. Galeta in a review of the performance held in 1985 at MAFAF in Pula).
The technician/projectionist is Erwin van't Hart. The specific expertise that this combination of activities produces is reflected in continuous research into inventive possibilities that the analog film medium offers to artists and filmmakers in production, projection, performance, installation or re-enactments. As a programmer and technician, van't Hart has been responsible for dozens of experimental film programs from the late 1990s on, held at Cinema de Balie in Amsterdam and more recently at IFFR in Rotterdam, as well as many freelance programming events at f.i. 25 FPS Zagreb, Club Solo Breda and WORM’s Filmwerkplaats Rotterdam. As a technical producer, he brings projects such as Vertical Cinema (Sonic Acts) and Moving Picture Panorama (Filmwerkplaats) to audiences, and provides many artists with technical support for their 16 mm film projects, such as Thomas Bakker, Lichun Tseng, Jaya Pelupessy, Ana Bravo Perez, Eitan Efrat & Sirah Foighel Brutmann, Inas Halabi and Katja Mater. He lives and works between Rotterdam and Brussels, and is an active member of the artist-run film labs Filmwerkplaats Rotterdam and Labo BXL, as well as Cinema Parenthèse, which is dedicated to experimental film programming.
