Momental–mente presents recent paintings of artists who work primarily in Slovenia, as selected by the curator Dr Andrej Medved.

The exhibited paintings reflect a variety of inspirations and artistic poetics, which are not limited to a specific theme. The artists have a distinctly subjective attitude to color and light, while what they have in common is the autonomous arrangement of painterly signs on the surface of the picture and the expressiveness they achieve with various effects. From the point of view of various contemporary artistic practices, the images – which were created mostly during the  time of the pandemic and the related social isolation – can be understood in the sense of a return to painting as a central medium, partly in the light of paradigms such as those introduced by modernism.
