SEMINAR | Glossary of Common Knowledge – Geopolitics II

The topic of the Glossary is repeating from the previous edition because we feel such wide referential fields can never be fully exhausted. Connecting to current research projects of the Internationale partners the referential field will explore alternative ways of making global alliances, either by drawing from historical case studies or addressing urgent meters. The aim of revisiting the referential field of Geopolitics is to seek potentials in producing different histories (narratives) that would have gone beyond the Eurocentric ones.

Olivier Hadouchi's talk will focus on solidarity, non-alignment, Tricontinental and manifestos from the South in the time of wars of independence in Africa and Asia. It will also touch upon anti-colonial struggles and struggles for a new international order. Some images by reporters from former Yugoslavia will be shown, picturing solidarity, as well as films from Africa and Latin America with the idea of a new, independent network promoting diversity, internationalism and international solidarity against Imperialism.
