2 July 2020 | Museum of Modern Art (MG+, Cankarjeva 15)

18:00–20:00 THE LIFE OF FORMS | sculpture workshop

Our Summer Thursdays will be full of colors and shapes! There are many artworks of abstract forms, unusual shapes, made of (un)expected materials in our museum collections… We’ll bring the items we make alive with clay, playdough, recycled materials, lots of paint, even more imagination and a little animation.

The workshops are free, but the number of participants is limited, so please do not fail to register at izobraževanje@mg-lj.si.

19:00–20:00 guided tour of the permanent collection 20th Century. Continuities and Ruptures and an introduction to the exhibition Introspective. V.S.S.D. (Veš slikar svoj dolg / Painter Do You Know Your Duty, 1985–1995) +– Alen Ožbolt (Works 1995–2018)

The permanent exhibition of works from Moderna galerija’s national collections includes a chronological overview of works by Slovene modernist artists and the themed presentations of avant-garde art and the art of the Partisan resistance. The retrospective of the duo of artists Veš slikar svoj dolg (V.S.S.D. / Painter Do You Know Your Duty), active between 1985 and 1995, and Alen Ožbolt, who has pursued a solo career since the dissolution of V.S.S.D., offers a comprehensive view of the production of this artistic phenomenon from the late 1980s and early 1990s.
